Outside/Inside Festival
Outside/Inside Festival is created to raise awareness and support the incredible creative, enrichment activities taking place at The Bridge Homelessness to Hope Charity in Leicester. Through funds raised from previous events (£5000 approx.) we have been able to buy musical instruments and recording equipment that have enabled a music project where we have formed a collective of people making music and performing original material around the city. This is about empowerment through creative expression with the core value that mere existence or survival is not enough! It is vital to pursue our dreams and have our voice heard and your money is changing lives.
The festival will take place over the weekend of November 16th/17th at Firebug and Duffys Bar featuring over 30 acts of multiple genres bringing you Leicester’s most diverse city centre indoor festival.
Sunday features a range of stalls and activities for kids as part of our family friendly event including happy hour discounts on selected food and beverages when purchasing a weekend ticket.
Children under the age of 14 will be admitted free of charge. All children under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
The Leicester Peace & Love Festival
Leicester’s first and only charity community festival returns to promote harmony, social inclusion, diversity amongst all communities and cultural groups in the city.
The Cost of Livin' Concert
Up and coming artists from the city of Leicester have come together to tackle the issue of the cost of living. The young musicians have been taking part in a series of music workshops held at the Youth Education Project (YEP) as well as delivered by them in partnership with Taoreta 倒れた (Taoreta Ltd) and Music Education Learning Limited (MEL Limited).
The young musicians will be performing 3 singles as well as premiering the music video for their main single entitled ‘Livin’ and Q&A session where they will be discussing their project.

A great event for all the family with food, music performances and DJs, as well as a bouncy castle, face painting and games for the kids.

Take The Stage
‘Take The Stage’ returns for its 5th instalment at the iconic Donkey venue. A monthly performance night hosted by Luke Broughton welcomes all art forms and genres - offering a space to reach new audiences and express yourself in an inclusive and supportive environment.
This month our feature acts are;
JJ Lovegrove - Nottingham based singer songwriter with an ethereal and haunting beauty that will send shivers through you, performing material from her critically acclaimed EP ‘Things Only the Dark Knows’.
Taoreta - Hip-Hop collective performing a range of progressive beats and inspiring lyrics, making their debut at The Donkey.

Samurai Nation EP [Launch Party]
Taoreta celebrate the live launch of their debut EP entitled ‘Samurai Nation’ featuring artists from the Leicester music scene and worldwide.
The event also sees the learners from the Beatz ‘N’ Barz music programme showcase their new material as part of the collaboration with the Youth Education Project.

Real Talk
Taoreta headline the ‘Real Talk’ open mic event held in Derby every month which is free to attend. This not only features music artists but also musicians, spoken word poets and local acts.
